“Remember When?” Memory Walls and Collections

mem·o·ry

the act or fact of retaining and recalling impressions, facts, etc.; remembrance; recollection

col·lec·tion

a group of objects or an amount of material accumulated in one location, especially for some purpose or as a result of some process

How many do you have?

How many boxes of memories do you have stashed in the closet or under your bed?

How many collections do you have scattered around the house.?

I’m a strong believer that those two things make up who we are. Without trying, they bring a smile when we think about them. They bring a since of pride and accomplishment.  So, what if we showcase them? What if we can see them every day? Highlight them so we can ask each other “Remember when?” Treat them respect because they are who we are.

Just like each memory or collection is different –so should how they are showcased.  Good news is, there are just as many different ways to execute that!!!

Pictured here is a sampling of some of the ways I’ve treated my client’s treasures.  Things I’ve done to honor their memories, inspired them or just hung some things they like to look at on the wall.

What do you have? What’s in a hidden shoebox? Let’s get it out so it can take you down Memory Lane a time or two.
